    The UK News
    Thursday 9th September, 2010
    (ANI)

Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro has said that Cuba's Soviet-style economic model "doesn't even work for us anymore".

In an interview to the Atlantic Monthly magazine, Castro said that the modest reforms introduced by his brother, President Raul Castro to stimulate his country's troubled economy, appeared to be a step in the right direction. astro also criticized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for anti-Semitism and denying the Holocaust.

He criticized his own actions during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis when he urged the Soviet Union to launch nuclear weapons against the United States, telling Goldberg "it wasn't worth it at all." (ANI)
