Alton Towers Resort bans sex in some hotel rooms

A theme park in England has banned sex in some of its hotel rooms after repeated complaints from guests that romping couples were disturbing their kids.

Bosses at the Alton Towers resort in Staffordshire took action after a string of families complained that they were kept awake by noises from adjacent rooms.

One guest complained the noises coming from the next-door room were "louder than the screams from the theme park rides."

The resort owners have now designated special quiet 'family friendly' rooms separate from 'adults only' zones in the park's hotels.

Guests can state which they require when booking.

"Here at the Alton Towers Resort, we want people to enjoy themselves in whichever way they choose," the Sun quoted Morwenna Angove of Alton Towers Resort as saying.

"However we recognise that some activities are not so 'family friendly' so we have decided to separate families to ensure that all our guests can fully enjoy their stay at our Resort hotels," Angove said.

The family friendly zone has been created in the Alton Towers Hotel and Splash Landings. (ANI)
