Formula One 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton has warned his rivals not to write off his title hopes.

Hamilton won his first Battle of Britain with 2009 Formula One champion Jenson Button, coming home third in Bahrain on Sunday.

McLaren teammate Button claimed seventh spot.

The winner of the 2005 and 2006 F1 crown made a stunning debut with Ferrari, spearheading a one-two alongside Felipe Massa.

The Sun quoted Hamilton, 25, as insisting: "I can match these guys. I am quite happy but the Ferrari is definitely the car to beat.At times my car felt great. I am very happy getting a strong result for myself and the team." (ANI)
